As we all know, TPE material is a thermoplastic elastomer material modified based on SEBS, which is often widely used in ordinary transparent toys, sports equipment, home appliance shells, handles and other industries. However, due to the long-term effects of radiation, ozone, ultraviolet rays, etc., some TPE products used outdoors are likely to suffer from aging and non-durability problems, so that the TPE material quickly loses its performance. Therefore, the problem of improving the durability of TPE plastic products is worthy of our attention.
Tips for making TPE plastic products more durable are as follows:
1. If TPE plastic products are stained with dirt during use, they can be rinsed with clean water, and then wiped dry with a rag. If there are oil stains, glue, dust or dirt, we can apply toothpaste and wind oil on the surface of the item to wipe it, which can effectively remove the stains and leave no residue.
2. TPE plastic products should not be placed in the sun for a long time, which will change the structure of the TPE raw materials, and the TPE products will be cracked, gradually hardened and other aging phenomena. Therefore, TPE plastic products are not suitable for long-term outdoor use.
3. In daily use, do not use sharp objects to cut TPE plastic products, because the tear strength of TPE raw materials is poor. In addition, do not press TPE plastic products under heavy objects for a long time, otherwise it will easily cause bending deformation.
Under normal circumstances, TPE plastic products rarely experience aging problems when used, but in high temperature, humidity, and outdoor long-term use, in order to ensure use, it is necessary to add heat-resistant stabilizers (anti-aging agents) to the coordination. Thereby, the aging resistance of TPE products can be improved more effectively.
