Methods to avoid defects in TPE raw materials during injection molding

TPE not only has the excellent properties of high elasticity, aging resistance and oil resistance of vulcanized rubber, but also has the characteristics of convenient processing and wide processing methods of ordinary plastics. It can be produced by injection molding, extrusion and other processing methods. TPE raw materials will have various defects in the injection molding process, so how should we avoid these defects? The methods to avoid TPE raw materials from forming defects in the injection molding process are as follows:
1. The mold opening speed is too fast, due to the large drawing deformation, the mold opening speed should be slowed down.
2. The mechanical properties of the product are significantly reduced, and the appearance quality is deteriorated. By cooperating with stabilizers such as heat resistance and weather resistance, adding ultraviolet absorbers and light stabilizers, the aging phenomenon can be inhibited to a certain extent.
3. Select the appropriate release agent and lubricant, and apply it properly to avoid silver threads on the surface of the product due to improper use.
4. The injection pressure should be appropriately reduced, and the size of the runner and gate should be increased to avoid excessive injection pressure and too small runner and gate. When the material passes through, due to excessive shear force, silver wires will be produced.
5. When high-viscosity materials are used to form thick-walled products, surface wrinkling defects generally occur at the end of the runner. For this defect, the solution is to increase the melt temperature and injection speed.
